Zaxby’s Sets Opening Date for First Pendleton Location
New restaurant will open its doors July 31
Athens, GA (RestaurantNews.com) Saucy chicken chain Zaxby’s®, the premium quick-service restaurant, beloved for its Chicken Fingerz®, wings and legendary Zax Sauce®, is opening its first restaurant in Pendleton, South Carolina at 7545 Highway US-76. The new Zaxby’s is owned and operated by Fowl Play SC, LLC and will open for drive-thru and dine-in on Monday, July 31.
“We’re excited to add to our footprint in Anderson County and serve the growing community of Pendleton,” said Mike Schneidereit, president of Fowl Play SC, LLC. “Our innovative building design shows our commitment to an enhanced and quick drive thru experience, while offering guests an enjoyable dining room atmosphere.”
The roughly 2,900 square-foot restaurant will feature Zaxby’s farmhouse-style design with a white exterior and a double drive-thru layout for faster pay and pickup. Inside the restaurant, indoor seating is available for up to 54 guests including upgrades for better customer experiences with a new PAR POS system offering a more seamless service.
An alternative to fast food, Zaxby’s serves fresh, prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz and wings tossed in a variety of bold and spicy sauces. The menu features the brand’s famous Signature Sandwich, its iconic Fried Pickles and the fan-favorite Loaded Fries. Recently, Zaxby’s brought back its Southwest Zalad® and introduced Funnel Cakes with powdered sugar and caramel sauce to its menu. Both are available for a limited time only, while supplies last.
Customers may order ahead online via zaxbys.com as well as through the Zaxby’s app available for download on Google Play and the App Store. Ordering delivery will also be available directly through the Zaxby’s app beginning July 31, as well as through Doordash, Uber Eats, Bite Squad and Grubhub.
Schneidereit, together with his partner Ben Williams, own three additional Zaxby’s restaurants in nearby Anderson, South Carolina. The new location will be the franchise’s first in Pendleton.
