Twin Peaks Reaches New Growth Milestone in Second Quarter
The ultimate sports lodge hits 100 locations with three new restaurant openings and continues to expand development pipeline
Dallas, TX (RestaurantNews.com) Twin Peaks Restaurant wrapped up a successful second quarter in 2023 by hitting a major milestone, opening new locations, and ramping up for even more growth before the end of the year.
Memorial Day weekend of 2023 will always be memorable for Twin Peaks as it celebrated the grand opening of its 100th lodge in the Indianapolis suburb of Greenwood, Indiana. It’s a milestone that Twin Peaks CEO Joe Hummel sees as the beginning of continued expansion for the brand.
“We take pride in knowing our customers and strive to keep giving them an experience that they can’t get anywhere else,” Hummel said. “Hitting the 100-lodge milestone in Q2 was an incredible feat. Our fans embrace our offerings, and our franchise partners and staff consistently deliver – that’s why we can continue to scale the brand so rapidly.”
Twin Peaks is set to reach 103 locations before the end of July and plans to open eight more restaurants in several new markets before the end of the year. The brand has set its sights on becoming the top sports bar in the country and anticipates expanding its footprint to 200 lodges by 2027.
Twin Peaks opened its fifth Arizona location in the Deer Valley area of Phoenix in April and celebrated its fourth Ohio restaurant with the grand opening of its Polaris lodge in May. That marked the first location in Columbus, which extended JEB Food Group’s franchise area development agreement with Twin Peaks to add the Cleveland area during the second quarter. The franchise group will now own and operate 16 restaurants throughout the Ohio River Valley including areas around Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland, Ohio, as well as Louisville, Kentucky and southern Indiana.
Twin Peaks expanded another franchise partner’s area development agreement in the second quarter, securing four new locations with 3B Lodge. The Wichita, Kansas-based group will open new franchised lodges in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska as well as Tulsa, Oklahoma and West Des Moines, Iowa. 3B Lodge, which will own and operate nine Twin Peaks, is determining which new market it will enter first and is currently exploring real estate options for each of the four new locations.
“We’re always looking to find partners that understand our brand and are passionate about the restaurant industry,” said Hummel. “We have great franchise partners and we’re excited to continue expanding Twin Peaks’ footprint nationally.”
The brand is sure to grab more potential franchise partner’s attention with the hardware it earned during the second quarter. FSR ranked Twin Peaks fifth in its list of top sports bars in the country, while Technomic ranked Twin Peaks 102nd in its Top 500 Restaurant Report. Nation’s Restaurant News ranked the brand 103rd in its Top 250 Restaurant Chains and Franchise Update named Twin Peaks to its “Best of the Best” list. In addition, Twin Peaks won the Most Innovative Use of Customer Facing Digital Tools award in Franchise Update’s 2023 Franchise Innovation Awards.
The brand celebrated the end of the second quarter in style with its annual Miss Twin Peaks International Contest at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, Tennessee. Lauren from the newly opened Twin Peaks Deer Valley was crowned the 2023 winner.
The third quarter has new openings scheduled in Oceania, Mexico, Jacksonville and Sarasota, Florida, plus the relocation of its new Plano lodge in Twin Peaks’ homebase – the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The brand has kicked off another fantasy football season and is preparing for an exciting NCAA and NFL football season at its lodges.
