After moving to New York after five years of living in Chicago, I realized how much I took deep-dish pizza for granted. Anytime I had a craving for deep-dish I would simply walk over to Pequod’s for a pie. (That’s right — Pequod’s! The internet can fight me on that.) But now? Enjoying a deep-dish slice isn’t as easy as a simple walk down the road. So you can imagine my absolute excitement when I found out that Aldi is now selling Chicago-style deep-dish pizzas at an eye-popping low price.

Sold in the refrigerator section at Aldi, customers can now grab a two-pack of Chicago-style deep-dish for just $9.99. That’s right — you can have a personal deep-dish pizza for dinner for just $5 each, which is such a steal compared to paying for a normal pie at a restaurant. Each pack comes with two flavors: cheese and pepperoni.

The best part? These pizzas come from Pizzeria Uno, one of the highest-rated deep-dish pizzerias in Chicago that has been serving pies since 1943. Sure, while it might not be my beloved Pequod’s, I still approve of Pizzeria Uno’s pies, and am honestly shocked at how cheap these pizzas are at Aldi. Simply pop them in the oven, and voila! Your deep-dish pizza is served.

These pizzas have been on shelves at Aldi before and are back by popular demand, but you better act fast! I have a feeling they’re going to sell out quick. Maybe you should grab a few boxes and store them in the freezer; they’re perfect for popping in the oven when a craving for deep-dish strikes. No trip to Chicago needed.
