Stanley cups are still all the rage — even in 2024. The portable 40-ounce insulated tumblers have been making waves across social media for their convenience, reusable plastic straw, and the fact that they can keep drinks cold for hours. Not to mention, with all the colors and designs, the cups have become somewhat of a statement piece, especially for teenagers. Hey, there have been worse fads than environmentally-friendly cups that encourage people to hydrate, right?

Target is now hopping on the bandwagon for a limited time in a partnership with Stanley for an exclusive Galentine’s Day collection — perfect if you’re searching for a gift to celebrate your girlfriends this February. You can grab a 40-ounce Stainless Steel Tumbler in Target Red or Cosmo Pink and a 16-ounce Stacking Pint in Target Red, Cosmo Pink, Cotton Candy, or Black. Or, if you’re looking for something a little bit smaller, you can snag a two-pack of the Everyday GO Tumblers in Target Red and White, Target Red and Cotton Candy, or Cosmo Pink and Black. Prices range from $20 to $45, depending on the size and style.

And when we say these tumblers are flying off the shelves, we aren’t kidding. In a now viral video by TikToker Victoria Robino, you can see Target shoppers rushing to grab as many tumblers as they can from the Galentine’s Day Collection at their local store.

Many commenters on the video don’t quite understand the hype, but that’s likely because they probably haven’t experienced one for themselves. “This is embarrassing for these people,” wrote one user. “Over a Stanley Cup.”

“I went an hour after they opened and found one hidden in the toy aisle,” commented another TikToker.

Because the cups are selling out so quickly at Target, resale sites like eBay are currently housing the product for upwards of $150 a tumbler. While the craze is certainly overwhelming (people are even lining up at 3 a.m. in some places to purchase them), and a bit over the top, the tumblers are popular for a reason. If you’re looking for a similar tumbler but don’t want to pay inflated prices, try Owala’s version — it comes in a bright pink shade and currently costs less than $30 on sale.

No matter which one you shop, insulated tumblers are a phenomenal alternative to plastic water bottles — and if something so positive for the environment is trending, we’ll happily get on board.
