RANCH STYLE BAKED BEANS

This ranch style baked beans recipe is one I found in an old church cookbook, and I wanted to give it a try. It is made with ground beef, pork and beans, and seasoning. These turned out really good!

❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

This recipe is hearty and great on a cold day or a wonderful addition to a potluck. This recipe I found in a very old church cookbook was probably not long after pork and beans hit the market. So I decided to try it and see if it was good, and it really was! Has a great flavor. This dish is really budget-friendly, too.

🍴KEY INGREDIENTS

  • Ground beef or ground turkey 
  • Onion
  • Minced garlic or 1 clove of garlic
  • Pork-n-beans
  • Dark red kidney beans
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • Lipton onion soup (make your own with this recipe)
  • Ketchup
  • Yellow mustard
  • Apple cider vinegar

SWAPS

You could also use pork sausage in this recipe. You can easily use pinto beans, too, and it would be great!

🍽️HOW TO MAKE

These Ranch Style Baked Beans are so easy to make, and we love putting them in the crock pot and coming home to a delicious pot of beans!

COOKING STEPS

Step 1
Brown ground beef with onion and garlic on top of stove and drain.

Step 2 -Stove
Add to a 3-quart baking dish along with the remaining ingredients.  Bake in preheated 375-degree oven for one hour.

Step 3 -Crock Pot
Combine ingredients in a 3-quart crockpot and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours.

⭐TIP

If you don’t have apple cider vinegar, you can use regular white vinegar. This is an excellent potluck recipe.

Ingredients  

  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic or 1 clove of garlic chopped
  • 1 28 ounce can pork-n-beans, undrained
  • 1 15 ounce can pork-n-beans, undrained
  • 1 16 ounce can dark red kidney beans
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package dry Lipton onion soup
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions
