Jaws Jumbo Burgers Might Sell Due To Labor Problems

Jaws Jumbo Burgers Might Sell Due To Labor Problems(RestaurantNews.comJaws Jumbo Burgers, the Tribute restaurant to the movie JAWS, has been in business since 1984 making fresh 1/3-pound ground sirloin burgers.

“This is the worst labor generation I have ever seen in my 47 years of business,” states Darryl Gaddis owner of Jaws Jumbo Burgers.

According to Gaddis, “These employees ages 16-45 are not going to work and they mean it. You cannot pay them enough money, give them enough days or hours to work. If they (the help) were working 2 days a week they would find a way to get those 2 days off.”

Jaws Jumbo Burgers moved from White House, TN to Ocala, FL to expand.

“Like most restaurants,” stated Gaddis, “we don’t have a business problem… we have a labor problem.”

I have people who want to buy a Jaws Jumbo Burgers franchise AND they do not want to work in the restaurant at all! That is a big problem for me.

I have to turn them down. It is too much on the line and our reputation. If something bad happens at one restaurant, we all get the blame.”

Jaws Jumbo Burgers opened July 10, 2023, in Ocala, FL

“We made the restaurant bigger (2700 sq ft.), Jaws Movie Posters, Jaws Movie Memorabilia, added a 10 ft. Great White shark replica that hangs from the ceiling and installed a 6-foot x 12- foot Digital Shark Aquarium.”

The customers love the Digital Shark Aquarium, it is a big attraction, and everybody takes photos of it. It’s like the Sharks are swimming in the room.

Business is booming. Jaw Jumbo Burgers is a major attraction in Ocala, Florida and is conveniently located off I- 75 Exit 350. Customers and JAWS movie fans come from all over to visit the restaurant because of the blockbuster movie JAWS on their way to and from the Orlando theme parks.

The elephant in the room and problem for most restaurants today is labor.

I think labor can be solved by merging with a bigger company because they have a bigger labor budget.

We are considering selling Jaws Jumbo Burgers Restaurant, Business and The Rights (U.S. Serial No. 90168693)

“I am done hiring help. I am tired of throwing money away,” stated Mr. Gaddis.
