❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
We love that you don’t even need a mixer for this cake, which is always a plus. Like one review said “the hardest part is peeling the apples!”. This cake is easy and really good and you can top it with many different toppings. It is a fluffy cake and has a wonderful texture. You can use any apples you like in this recipe.
TOP THIS CAKE WITH
NO IRON SKILLET?
You don’t have to make this in an iron skillet. You can use a 10 inch round deep baking dish or a long baking dish of your choice. This cake keeps well for several days refrigerated or in a cool spot.
⭐TIP
We use salted butter so if you don’t you can just add a little salt to the mixture. Also, we make this with buttermilk, because buttermilk has a higher fat. I am sure you could use whole milk too, but we like to cook with buttermilk.
STORING, REHEATING & SERVING SIZE
We store this covered in a cake container or in a tupperware container. If you like the cake warm, just reheat in the microwave. This makes about 8-10 servings, depending on the size you slice the pieces.
