❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We love the simplicity of this recipe, and it’s very versatile, as you could use other chips. So easy to make, it only makes eight, and they come together really quickly. Perfect for a Sunday morning and kids love them too!

SWAPS

You can use peanut butter chips, chocolate chips or toffee chips to make these. Super versatile and mix them up and have a variety. We use the original crescent rolls in this recipe, but honestly, any should work. The Honey Butter version would be delicious in this recipe. Not a fan of nuts, simply leave them off.

⭐TIP

We use a glass to flatten the crescent roll into a circle, you can use can of soup, or something similar if you need. You can also make them a different size if you like. We sometimes add a powdered sugar glaze to the final product.

Ingredients

  • 1 8 ounce package original crescent rolls
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • chopped pecans or walnuts or nuts of your choice

Instructions

  • Open the crescent rolls and don’t take them apart but just slice through the roll to make eight rounds.  Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and use a glass or cup to flatten each roll leaving a bit of a side all the way round.
  • Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla extract with mixer.  Divide this among the eight rolls.  Add several butterscotch chips and chopped nuts on top of cream cheese mixture.  Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes.  Makes 8 danishes.
