When it comes to Aldi’s weekly list of “Aldi Finds,” which announces new and specialty products that are available for a limited time, there’s always a chance you’re going to find something worth the trip to the popular German-owned grocery store.

Between the $30 Belavi Grill Gazebo and the chain’s fantastic deals on storage and decor items, Aldi has already provided the tools you need to set your summer up for success. And, this week’s finds offer the proverbial cherry on top in the form of a delicious (and totally unique!) ice cream sandwich.

Aldi just dropped its new Sundae Shoppe Vanilla Stroopwafel Ice Cream Sandwiches this week and they’re definitely the summer treat you won’t want to miss. Available in a four-count box for just $4.95, these tasty little sandwiches feature rich creamy vanilla ice cream that is sandwiched between two soft stroopwafels filled with dulce de leche. Be right back, we’re running to our Aldi store now!

Don’t know what a stroopwafel is? The traditional Dutch treat consists of two sweet baked wafers with a thin caramel filling in between, and loosely translates to “syrup waffle.” Usually served with a cup of hot coffee or tea, the stroopwafel would typically be placed on top of your cup, so that the heat from the drink warms the stroopwafel and softens the caramel filling at the same time.

If you ask me, this Aldi twist on a classic Dutch treat is a must-have on a hot summer day. So, if you find yourself heading back to Aldi to check out their latest new grocery items, do yourself a favor and make a quick pit stop in the frozen food section to grab a box (or two!) of Vanilla Stroopwafel Ice Cream Sandwiches.
