A trip to New York City to eat in a world-famous restaurant is the stuff of dreams, but maybe not exactly plausible. But you know what is plausible? A trip to Costco. Your local warehouse is now selling a famous pasta sauce from Carbone, an Italian restaurant based in New York with dream-worthy pasta sauces that you’re going to want to get your hands on. The sauce now on shelves? Their renowned Spicy Vodka Sauce, sold in a pack of two for $12.89.

This sauce is crafted by the world-famous chefs at Carbone. It’s made with 100 percent Italian tomatoes, Calabrian chiles, onions, and garlic, then slow cooked in small batches before they are jarred and sent off to the masses. Spending $6 per jar may seem pricey, until you realize how big they are. Each jar has 32 ounces of pasta sauce (a typical jar sold in a grocery store is around 24 ounces), which means with this nifty pack you get 64 ounces of pasta sauce. That’s quite a few meals for such a low price.

Unlike other jarred vodka sauces that have cream already mixed in, this pasta sauce opts out of the cream, giving you the option to serve it with or without. If you prefer a creamy vodka sauce, you simply add heavy cream to it, warm up the sauce, then toss with your favorite pasta. (We love making ours with spicy Italian sausage). Or you can skip the cream and simply enjoy this cream-less spicy tomato sauce in whatever way you choose, like for this baked ziti recipe.
