BBQ Restaurant Lady Jaye Is Expanding Their Brand With a New Bakery and Cafe in Seattle, WA!
Little Jaye Cafe and Bakery will be serving baked goods in the style of “what your grandma used to make,” specialty coffee, and meaty sandwiches.
Seattle, WA (RestaurantNews.com) Lady Jaye has been regarded as one of the best BBQ restaurants in Seattle for years but over the last 12 months or so, it has been pulling double duty as a hidden bakery.
On Sundays, the West Seattle Farmers Market takes over the block outside Lady Jaye’s door, which inspired co-owner Charlie Garrison to start experimenting with pastries in February 2022. Think Fruity Pebble Rice Crispy treats, shokupan milk bread doughnuts, cookies and all manner of biscuits from sweet to savory.
Since Lady Jaye isn’t built to be a pop-bakery, creativity and early morning hours requires Charlie Garrison to wake up at 3am to get everything done, but not for much longer.
What was once a side project is turning into a full-fledged bakery and cafe coming to the South Park neighborhood in late August.
The vibe that defines Lady Jaye as a fun, and bold experimenter of flavors will carry over to Little Jaye Cafe and Bakery but will not be reliant on BBQ flavors, and instead focus on serving baked goods in the style of “what your grandma used to make,” specialty coffee, and meaty sandwiches.
Little Jaye Cafe and Bakery will be open 7 days a week from 7am – 3pm.
