Souped Up Recipes Carbon Steel Wok
Run, don’t wok (sorry) to add this pre-seasoned pan to your collection while it’s nearly 40% off. Made of carbon steel, it features a flat bottom and a stable, wide base. We love that this one comes with a metal chuan and lid for steaming.
Chef’n FreshForce Citrus Juicer
After testing 19 manual citrus juicers, our editors can’t recommend this model enough. The Chef’n FreshForce not only produced the highest yield of juice but did so in a fraction of the time compared to the competition. It was also a relatively mess-free option, creating little to no splatter during testing (thanks to its star-shaped perforations that direct juice downwards). Best of all, it extracts oil from the pith to produce highly flavorful, floral-scented juice with every squeeze.
Thermoworks Thermapen ONE
Instant-read thermometers are a foolproof way to avoid overcooked or undercooked meat. This one from Thermoworks stood out among the competition—consistently producing the fastest and most accurate readings. Its backlit screen automatically rotates for easy-to-read results at any angle. Plus, with its high waterproof rating and five-year warranty, it’s the last meat thermometer you’ll ever need. Grab yours for 35% off while you still can.
OXO Brew Conical Burr Coffee Grinder
With its sleek, intuitive design and impressive grind consistency, the OXO blew us away during testing (a few of us religiously use the OXO in our own home kitchens!). Featuring a variety of grind settings and sharp, efficient teeth, the tool performed at the level of competitors double its price and is by far the cheapest model with cutting burrs that we recommend. Now that it’s discounted 20%, it’s a steal at just $80.
Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker Machine
We believe that homemade ice cream can cure any case of the blues. If you’re looking to churn your own ice cream or sorbet, we can’t recommend the Cuisinart enough. Despite its entry-level price, it aced all of our tests—producing delicious results in the shortest amount of time. While freezing the canister ahead of time requires a bit forethought, its simple yet efficient design is unbeatable at just $52.
Swedish Wholesale DishCloths
If you don’t already own a set of Swedish dishcloths, this $16 purchase may turn you into a convert. Poised to replace your single-use paper towels (and even your sponges!), these cloths are highly absorbent and dry dishes, hands, and countertop spills in a flash. Made from wood pulp (also known as cellulose) and cotton, they’re flexible when wet and become stiff when dry and can even be washed in the dishwasher to reuse again and again.
Spiegelau Perfect Serve Double Old Fashioned Glasses, Set of 4
These crystal rocks glasses from German glassmaker Spiegelau are a surprisingly versatile addition to your bar cart. They’re slightly larger than the average Old Fashioned glass (though not double the size, as the name would suggest), and of the 13 we tested, they were our favorite for serving cocktails on the rocks.
ThermoWorks Smoke Remote BBQ Alarm Thermometer
There’s nothing like an overcooked brisket to ruin the weekend barbecue. That’s why we love this wireless grill thermometer. In our tests, the ThermoWorks Smoke accurately monitored both ambient and meat temperature. It’s incredibly easy to set up, too, thanks to a magnetic exterior that attaches to any metal grill. If you’ve been eyeing this tool, now’s the perfect time to add it to your collection—it’s currently $30 off.
KitchenAid Metal Food Grinder Attachment
Love making your own burgers at home? Up your game by grinding your own meat. While meat grinders can be large and expensive, a stand mixer attachment is a great alternative. If you already own a KitchenAid stand mixer (our personal favorite), this now-$75 attachment is a worthy buy. In our tests, we found it was sturdier (and had sharper blades) than the brand’s less expensive, plastic offering—plus, the stainless steel model can be pre-chilled for easier grinding. This tool produced “textbook” ground beef and pork in our tests.
All-Clad D3 Stainless-Steel Fry Pans, Set of 2
During testing, we found All-Clad’s visually appealing, stainless-steel skillets to be on par with our favorite from Made In. We like that it heats evenly and helps achieve a satisfying sear on proteins, vegetables, and more. This set features one 12-inch pan and one 10-inch pan to accommodate any cooking project. While All-Clad skillets are typically more expensive than the competition, the brand is knocking 30% off sets of two (a Black Friday gift!).
