I’m a summer girl through and through, mostly because I love the beach, and I love lobster rolls. (Growing up by the New England coast will do that to a person.) So during dreary months when it isn’t warm and sunny and appropriate to head to the local seafood joint, I have to make do elsewhere. It seems like Costco understands because their most recent freezer find has a lobster-loving girl like me — as well as other Costco shoppers — absolutely giddy right now.

Now sold in the frozen food aisle, Costco is offering a lobster mac and cheese dinner for four! Priced at $24.99, you can enjoy delicious east coast lobster in a mac and cheese dinner, no cooking necessary. This price may seem steep, but at just $6 a serving, this feels like an absolute steal compared to the lobster mac and cheese you likely see on restaurant menus. (I’ll wager to bet it’s over $20 a plate.)

This macaroni and cheese contains just under 5 ounces of lobster meat, a creamy cheese sauce, cavatappi pasta, and is finished off with a breadcrumb topping. To assemble it, all you have to do is defrost the pouches, mix all of the ingredients together in an oven-safe skillet or casserole dish, then bake it in the oven for 20 minutes at 350°F. That’s right; in less than a half hour, you can have a luxury dinner for four on your table. Sounds a little too good to be true, if you ask me!

This isn’t the first time Costco has offered some kind of delicious gourmet frozen food in the warehouse recently; they’ve been serving all kinds of incredible seafood eats at unbelievable prices! If you’re in the mood for a lobster roll, Costco has that as well. You can grab a pack of four lobster rolls, served “Connecticut style” warmed with butter and served in a fluffy brioche bun for $39.99. That’s less than $10 a roll, which is a steal compared to the $19 rolls I typically order during the summer months.

All in all, if you’re a lobster lover like me and you are impatient for summer to get here, then a trip to Costco might be in your near future.
