Smash-hit sushi chain to open two to three locations with restaurateur Kyle Gerstner, plans to open next restaurant in late 2024
“We’re excited to grow the company with someone as experienced as Kyle,” said Chris Kramolis, chief development officer for Rock N Roll Sushi. “We’re grateful to have him in our Rock N Roll Sushi family, along with his 10 years of entrepreneurial experience, and continue to see him grow within our brand. With Kyle, we’re confident we can take our brand in the right direction by leveraging his knowledge of franchise management, the hospitality industry and the Colorado Springs community.”
Under KMG, Gerstner owns and operates several Freddy’s Frozen Custard locations and one existing Rock N Roll Sushi location in Colorado Springs. His passion for business stems from his entrepreneurial nature. After starting a landscape management business in high school, Gerstner sold his company to begin yet another business – until he eventually transitioned to the hospitality industry, where he became the restaurant mogul he is today in the Pikes Peak Region.
“Once I learned that the brand came from the powerhouse team behind Tropical Smoothie Cafe, I knew that Rock N Roll Sushi had the potential to be successful,” said Gerstner, who is a fan of the concept himself, along with his wife and two young daughters. “I can wholeheartedly say that I enjoy the unique nature of the concept, the investment structure and the fact that it is sushi for all people, by all people. They’ve managed to simplify the sushi-making process while keeping quality at the forefront.”
The Colorado Springs Rock N Roll Sushi location — the first in the state, located at 7875 Silicon Heights, Suite 100 — opened in July 2023 and is the first of many in the region. The next location is projected to open in late 2024 near the Air Force Academy just north of the city.
The smash-hit sushi restaurant offers an amplified dining experience that takes guests through every era of rock. With music that travels through the decades, vivid concert lights and guitars hanging on nearly every wall, guests are immersed in a lively experience that lives up to the phrase “dine out loud.”
Rock N Roll Sushi is known for its innovative and delicious sushi rolls, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The restaurant also offers a variety of other Japanese-inspired dishes, as well as a full bar, lounge and dedicated to-go service area. The brand’s leaders look forward to expanding in the Centennial State over the coming years.
At Rock N Roll Sushi, fans enjoy deliciously twisted food made fresh for everyone. Boasting concepts and flavors that are big, bold and loud, Rock N Roll Sushi is the only place to experience the rock and rolls guests love with the ones they love! Everything about the American-style sushi restaurant, from its soundtrack to its soul, is pure rock ‘n’ roll – raw, inspired, amplified. About Rock N Roll Sushi
Founded in 2010 by husband-and-wife duo Lance and Gerri Mach Hallmark in Mobile, Alabama, Rock N Roll Sushi is the original American-style sushi restaurant founded on great food, true love and rock n’ roll music. It’s the only themed restaurant in the world where local and loyal fans can experience the rock they love and the rolls they love with the ones they love. The menu is broken down by Opening Acts, Classics, Green Room, Headliners (with Raw Tracks), Back Stage Hibachi, Kids Rock and After Party, with Rock N Roll Sushi’s greatest hits – like Crispy Wontons, Punk Rock Roll, VIP Roll and Hibachi – stealing the show. From humble beginnings in a modest 1,000-square-foot space tucked inside the Mobile Mall, Rock N Roll Sushi has rapidly expanded to encompass more than 50 locations across the southeastern U.S. in just a decade.
