King of Prussia, PA  (RestaurantNews.comValley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) is pleased to announce the return of their annual Crave Montco Month, a celebration that highlights the hundreds of eateries, breweries, and restaurants that make Montgomery County, Pennsylvania the East Coast’s premiere dining destination. The month-long series of promotions and activations, which runs throughout July, will highlight the region’s local restaurant scene that is brimming with diverse cuisine.

“Valley Forge and Montgomery County boast some of the best dining options in the region,” notes Mike Bowman, President & CEO, VFTCB. “Crave Montco is our opportunity to shine a spotlight on the over 1,600 restaurants that call our region home, from favorite chain brands in King of Prussia to independent eateries and cafes in quaint towns like Ardmore, Skippack, and Pottstown. We invite guests to Crave Montco all month long and experience the incredible diversity of Montgomery County’s dining scene.”

Each of Montgomery County’s vibrant towns is home to eclectic local gems waiting for foodies to discover. In West Conshohocken, try The Gypsy Saloon, a neighborhood restaurant and bar with an eclectic fare, featuring their signature Baby Lobster Mac N’ Cheese, with Maine lobster meat, asiago, parmesan and goat cheese, for only $18. In Ambler, recharge and refresh at the Aloha Smoothie Company, offering 10% off their Ambler Bowl: organic açaí topped with granola, banana, strawberry, blueberry and your choice of a peanut butter or local honey drizzle.

Montco Makers: Craft Breweries, Wineries, and Distilleries

Crave Montco highlights the region’s Montco Makers, award-winning establishments that are overflowing with tasty drinks and unforgettable experiences. Experience Cyrenity Sips in Hatboro, a Black, Woman owned small batch winery offering 5% off bottles of their signature vinos like the Cyan Cotton Candy Wine with edible glitter. In Norristown, pay a visit to Five Saints Distilling inside the Historic Humane Engine #1 Fire House and enjoy 10% off all cocktails, including the Speakeasy Gin & Tonic, featuring tonic water, anise star, cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange bitters. The public is invited to download the Montco Makers Passport, a free mobile pass that guides patrons to the best breweries, distilleries, and craft beverage producers in Valley Forge and Montgomery County, PA. Passport users can check in during their visit for a chance to win great prizes. 

Summertime Outdoor Dining

Crave Montco Month is a perfect opportunity to enjoy some of the best outdoor dining experiences in the entire Philadelphia area. Pay a visit to King of Prussia Town Center and savor homemade pasta and perfectly seared steak while sipping a fine merlot under the stars at Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, or enjoy tacos with a side of fresh guacamole and a pitcher of sangria on the outdoor patio of Paladar Kitchen & Rum Bar.
