Now, the grocer has a new snack that mimics the mochi rice nuggets, but in bite-size form. According to Instagram account @trader_joes_treasure_hunt, Crispy Crunchy Mini Mochi Rice Nuggets are now lining the shelves. Perfect for snacking or adding to soups and salads, if you like the original snack, you’ll love the mini version.

“Why the smaller stature?” writes Trader Joe’s on their website. “Simply put, Mini Mochi Rice Nuggets will have relatively more surface area per handful (or mouthful), meaning even more crunch with every bite. And that’s no small feat!”

The grocer also suggests adding them as a crunchy topper for runny eggs or stir-fried noodles, plus adding to casseroles, zucchini boats, and as a breading for chicken or fish (after being ground up in a food processor.) Not to mention, it’s a great bar snack paired with an ice-cold beer, sparkling wine, or cocktail of your choice.

The ingredients include only rice, rice bran oil, sea salt, and soy lecithin, hopefully leaving you feeling good after snacking. Each bag contains three servings and is selling for just $1.99. (Trader Joe’s truly spoils us.) You may want to grab a bag (or four) next time you’re in Trader Joe’s. These are sure to sell out as quickly as they arrived.
