This Nutmeg Bread is a delicious bread to enjoy year round, but we love it during the holiday season. It’s wonderful with butter and a cup of coffee.
This Cinnamon Bread is one of our most popular recipes so you must give it a try too! It’s made with cinnamon chips and we love it.
❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
We are big fans of nutmeg and pecans and this bread is a great combination of both! It has a wonderful texture and it comes together quickly. It also a gift your friends and family will love during the holiday season. If you have a brunch to attend this is a great addition!
🍴KEY INGREDIENTS
In this recipe, of course nutmeg is the key ingredient but also we make it with buttermilk. Many people always ask if they can use the buttermilk substitute and you can but it will remove a level of fat. Buttermilk is very high in fat so if you want to use milk, use whole milk.
SWAPS
We love nutmeg and pecans but you can always use walnuts or leave out the nuts all together. You can use light or dark brown sugar. We use light and it is delicious.
⭐TIP
We love this bread the way it is, but you could easily add a powdered sugar glaze if you like. It would also be good just sprinkled with powdered sugar.
